Scott graduated from Wake Forest University in 1991 and served as a staff attorney with Central Carolina Legal Services, Inc. for seven years. In 2000, he established the Law Office of Scott B. Lewis in downtown Lexington.
He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, the North Carolina 22nd Judicial District Bar Association, the Davidson County Bar Association, the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
